Dr Gideon van Wyk
B.Sc (UJ), MBChB (UP), M.MED (Surg)(US)
Dr Gideon van Wyk is a qualified Specialist Surgeon with over 16 years of experience with general and vascular surgeries, and extensive expertise in treatments for all types of varicose veins. He is a trained professional in the most advanced treatments, such as Endovenous Laser and Radiofrequency Ablation, Transilluminated Phlebectomy, Sclerotherapy and Surface Laser procedures.
Dr Ron Busch, a board certified cardiovascular surgeon in the United States, is considered by many to be one of the founders of the practice of Phlebology or Microphlebology. Dr van Wyk was trained by him, as well as Dr Ariel Soffer, from the Soffer Health Institute. Dr Busch and Dr Soffer jointly formed the Vein Experts Training Academy (www.vetavein.com) that is considered a centre of excellence in academic and practical phlebology.
Dr van Wyk's philosophy is focused on not using the scalpel, but achieving optimal results employing the least invasive and latest methods available in the world. This is why patients have come from all over Africa for their vein treatments.

Mrs Christelle de Bruin
She is the senior experienced diagnostic sonographer with at least 17 year experience. She is at Dr van Wyk’s side assisting during ultrasound guided sclerotherapy and endovenous ablation.
Mrs Rene Gerber
She qualified as a sonographer in 2009 and was head of an ultrasound department in Somerset West for 3 years. She was a part time lecturer at CPUT for junior, as well as senior, students in ultrasound. She specializes in general ultrasound, muscular skeletal, gynaecology and obstetrics, but has a special interest in vascular ultrasound, which includes venous incompetence studies.
